Offensive Security Analyst

About the Role

Skill Stand In is seeking Offensive Security Analysts who can bring real-world adversarial thinking to AI training and evaluation projects.

This role is focused on structured adversarial reasoning, not exploit development. You will analyze realistic attack scenarios, model threat behavior, and help improve how AI systems understand security risk.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic production environments.
• Identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps in complex system architectures.
• Review red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy, depth, and realism.
• Evaluate and label adversarial reasoning data used to train and assess AI systems.
• Explain how real attacks unfold — including impact, tradeoffs, and defender blind spots — in clear, structured writing.
• Flag flawed security reasoning and score AI outputs against practitioner standards.
• Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional experience in cybersecurity, penetration testing, threat intelligence, red teaming, or security engineering.
• Strong understanding of attacker behavior, kill chains, and security architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud security, identity systems, and modern networks.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts without providing exploit instructions or attack procedures.
• Comfortable with independent, hourly contract work.
